A recent St Johns first aid poll of new parents and parents to be, found that 7 out of 10 mums and dads in the UK lack basic first aid skills that would allow them to help their child in a medical emergency.
Experts are now calling for first aid courses to be offered as part of antenatal classes but many people have missed these or think they don’t need them.
